The project included refurbishment of laboratory teaching classrooms, prep room, adjacent toilets and corridors.

Assistance was provided to the school with an independent feasibility report including budget costs in support of a grant application, which was successful.

The clients brief to the project team was to provide the required facilities and equipment to a high standard and to have the new facilities fully operational by the end of the summer break ready for the new term.

Project management support was provided including preparation of tender documents for pricing by contractors and tender evaluation to assist the school with contractor selection. Progress of the refurbishment was closely monitored against the agreed project programme. Building contract administration was undertaken including valuations of work in progress and certifying payments to the contractor.

The project was completed on time and within budget to a tight timescale during the school’s summer holiday period.
