The condition survey established that the roof covering was approaching the end of its serviceable life and repair work was implemented in order to address leakage in the short term while options for a longer term solution were evaluated and business case approval  was obtained.

The existing asphalt roof was over roofed with high performance felt covering laid over new insulation. This option was cost effective and minimised potential risk and disruption to the clients business by not having to strip off the existing roof covering and exposing the building to the elements.

The specification provided a 20 year warranty together with improved thermal insulation achieving both significantly reduced energy costs and extending the serviceable life of the roof.
